Topics to be covered include mite, phylloxera, and mealybug management programs, discussions about hangtime for grapes at harvest and the impact on chemical, physical, and wine quality issues. Grapevine grafting, soil management to enhance soil structure, and variety and climate matching in the Umpqua Valley. The seminar begins at 9am at the Douglas County Library Ken Ford room, and will go until 4pm. Afternoon sessions will visit two vineyard sites.
